The Apprenticeship Program is accepting applications until April 28, 2017 for the two week initial Core Environmental Technician Training which will be held May 15 - 25, 2017.

About AFE

The Alaska Forum on the Environment (AFE) is a statewide gathering of environmental professionals from government agencies, non-profit and for-profit businesses, community leaders, Alaskan youth, conservationists, biologists and community elders. The 2018 event will be at the Dena'ina Center in Anchorage, Alaska on February 12-16, 2018.  This will be our 20th year providing a strong educational foundation for all Alaskans and a unique opportunity to interact with others on environmental issues and challenges. About Apprenticeship

The Alaska Forum is the registered sponsor of the Environmental Technician Apprenticeship Program by the US Department of Labor. An Environmental Technician Apprentice will receive specific classroom instruction and work 4,000 hours of on-the-job training to develop skills as a proficient and versatile worker.
